I used to blog a lot. I like stats, so here we go:
Blog #1: 676 posts from 2011-2013
Blog #2: 965 posts from 2013-2024, petering out significantly since 2021
I blogged about my writing (this made up about 50% of posts), college life, self-exploration, and politics. I blogged the most in my college days; somehow, between all the exams and homework and extracurricular activities, I had time to write pages into the void. I lack that same ferocity to write now and it could be due to any myriad of reasons.
Writing begets writing. I just finished putting together my 2025 goals, and goal #1 is to write more. I have specific projects I want to work on, but I also just want to write more in general. To make sense of things, to deepen relationships, to archive the world around me.
This blog will not be a burden. I make no promises to post on a biweekly basis, to follow a specific format, to cover X and Y in each post. I’m truly just vibing. If you never hear from this blog again, so be it.
Unlikely, because this blog is meant to replace my social media use. At some point I will want to share photos of my life, or something.
Here is one photo. It’s of my cat Yuzu. I have this photo as my work laptop background. Two coworkers have come up to me and remarked how cute she is.
If you have a blog, I would love to follow it. I’ll take your long ramblings over Instagram any day.

💯I really like this part.
